The Lexus NX starts with the by-now familiar Lexus "spindle" grille. They add squinty boomerang LED headlights, body color mirrors, and chrome accents around the NX's exterior.
NX Engine
Power comes from a choice of three Lexus engines. Start with the NX 350, powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine making 275 horsepower and averaging an EPA estimate of 24 mpg. Hybrid fans are not left out and will be happy with the NX 350h that's powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder and electric motor combo delivering 240 hp for an EPA combined economy rating of 39 mpg. Finally, there's the NX 450h+. This Plug-in Hybrid NX uses the same engine but tunes it to 304 combined horsepower. The EPA estimates a combined 36 mpg from the hybrid system and 84 eMpg equivalent for exclusive battery power.
Lexus NX Trim Options
The Lexus NX is available in several trim levels. The gas models include:
- NX 350 AWD: The NX350 includes standard AWD, NuLuxe interior, heated front seats, and a power rear door.
- NX 350 Premium AWD: Features everything above plus a power rear door with kick sensor, Lexus Memory System, and heated and ventilated front seats.
- NX 350 Luxury AWD: This model upgrades to a perforated leather-trimmed interior, thematic ambient illumination, and a 10-inch head-up display
- NX 350 F Sport Handling AWD: The F Sport Handling AWD includes F Sport tuned adaptable variable suspension, F Sport seats, 20-inch wheels, rear bumper protector, wireless charger and illuminated door sills.
These trims are also available as a hybrid. The NX plug-in hybrid models feature the Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Handling.
