Lexus Sports Car

There are four engine packages available for the Lexus IS. Start with the turbocharged 241 horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 258 lb-ft of torque. Next is the rear-wheel drive 3.5-liter 260 horsepower V6 producing 236 lb-ft of torque.

An all-wheel drive version of the 3.5-liter makes 311 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque for extra traction and bite. It includes a revised intake, F Sport Appearance package and F Sport suspension.

Both inline four-cylinder and V6 engines have a top speed of 143 miles-per-hour

Finally, there's the 472 horsepower, 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated V8 making 395 lb-ft of torque. It has an intoxicating exhaust note and an F Sport-tuned suspension. While AWD is available in all other models, the V8 is only available as a rear-wheel drive motivator. The 5.0-liter has a top speed of 149 mph.

With nearly all models, there's a choice of six-speed paddle or an eight-speed direct shift automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The availability depends on your choice of engine and drive configuration.
